The basics: Project Coordinator (m/f) for Livaningo's Emergency Program, based in Pemba with frequent travel to the districts of Mueda, Quissanga, and Nangade (Cabo Delgado). Applications until October 6, 2026, by email to livarecruta@gmail.com, with the subject «Coordenador do Projecto – Pemba».
Livaningo is looking for a duly qualified Mozambican national to coordinate its Emergency Program in Cabo Delgado. This is one (1) position, and the defined workplace is Pemba.
You will report to the Emergency Senior and lead your technical team in the districts of Mueda, Quissanga, and Nangade. Project management is the core of the work: ensuring the implementation of activities, compliance with agreed deadlines, deliverables, and budget, and supervising the technical quality of work in each district.
In daily operations, you will coordinate and supervise the Program Officer, health and nutrition technicians, and support staff.
You will guide the planning and implementation of mobile health clinics, including prior community mobilization, organization of service points, and provision of primary healthcare services.
You will also coordinate the organization of training for health workers and Elementary Multipurpose Agents (APEs), as well as monitor and supervise post-training work.
Outbreak prevention is part of the daily routine: early identification of suspected cases of epidemic-prone diseases and notification to SDSMAS, promoting infection prevention and control measures in health facilities and supported communities.
You will also be responsible for nutritional screenings (MUAC) in children aged 6 to 59 months and pregnant and lactating women, referring acute malnutrition cases to PRN, and following up on cases under treatment.
You will ensure the smooth operation of referral pathways between the community, mobile clinics, and health facilities, including the safe referral of violence survivors to health and protection services. You will supervise rapid health facility assessments, the delivery and use of medical kits and equipment, and the execution of minor repairs.
Regarding data and reporting, you will collect, verify, and report monthly data disaggregated by sex, age, and disability in coordination with the MEAL Officer, and prepare the project's narrative and financial reports. You will represent the project before SDSMAS, the Provincial Health Directorate (DPS), humanitarian clusters, other partners, and community leaders, participating in provincial and district coordination meetings.
The organization applies a zero-tolerance policy towards sexual exploitation and abuse (PSEA). Confidentiality and a survivor-centered approach are core work requirements for this position; all selected candidates will undergo reference checks and must sign the organization's Code of Conduct.
Who we are looking for: someone with real experience in health and emergency project management, comfortable in complex security contexts, with leadership, planning, and ability to work under pressure skills.
The context involves frequent travel to districts, interaction with community leaders, health teams, and public stakeholders; therefore, someone who can combine technical work with field coordination is a great fit for this role. The organization encourages applications from women and people with disabilities.
How to apply: send your application by email to livarecruta@gmail.com, with the subject «Coordenador do Projecto – Pemba», until October 6, 2026.
The required documentation includes a letter of interest, updated CV with three professional references, and two reference letters attached, corresponding to recent employment or the last 2 years of professional activity. Also present the obtained degree certificate or diploma, proof of professional experience, and a scan of a valid driver's license attached, which is a mandatory document.
Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted. The job post does not specify the salary range.
