The Maxixe City Municipal Council is the local authority that administers the Maxixe municipality, one of the cities of Greater Maputo, in the Maputo province. The public competition is meant to fill 12 places on the authority's staff establishment, in five distinct career paths, covering areas of communications, administrative management and general support services to the local population.
Maxixe is south of the Matola municipality, on the southern periphery of Maputo. The local authority has its own competences in urban planning, basic social services, primary health care, education and funeral services. The reinforcement of the staff establishment at this stage aims to respond to these competences and improve the provision of services to the municipality's population.
The four Gravedigger positions and the two Body Preservation positions fall within the scope of the funeral services that the authority manages in the municipality, a proximity competence that directly affects the families of Maxixe.
The authority looks for people with Mozambican nationality, aged 18 or older, with physical and mental fitness, and the educational qualifications required by the career they apply for: Grade 7 for Service Agents, Grade 10 for Technical Assistants and Grade 12 for Officers.
Professional experience in the area is a value-adding factor, but it is not mandatory for the application. The educational qualification requirement allows the authority to ensure that each career has the appropriate level of training for the competences to be exercised in public service.
The selection of candidates is done in three stages: document evaluation, written exam and professional interview.
The document evaluation checks the completeness and authenticity of the submitted documentation. The written exam assesses the technical knowledge required by the career the candidate is applying for. The professional interview allows the jury to assess the suitability of the profile for the position and the candidate's motivation for municipal public service.
The Maxixe City Municipal Council runs the entire selection process and decides who is selected. Inademy does not participate in the selection stages.
