1 QHSE Manager position (Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment management) for Aldelia, in the province of Cabo Delgado, Mozambique. This is a full-time position. The application deadline is November 30, 2026. Applications are submitted on the company's official career website.
Aldelia is a global human resources and talent management services group. On its website, it describes itself as a people-centric business with a strategic focus on Africa and an established presence in Latin America.
The group operates across five business lines: recruitment (talent acquisition), global workforce outsourcing, payroll management, Employer of Record, and RPO, complemented by human resources technology solutions.
Aldelia is the company publishing this vacancy and is the employer in this process. Under the job classification, the categories are environment and forestry, OHS, and oil & gas.
You will be responsible for deploying and maintaining the company's QHSE management system in the field, translating group requirements into concrete, controlled, and applicable processes at the base level.
You will implement QHSE policies, standards, controls, and programs within the overall management process, aligning local priorities with the group's annual QHSE objectives.
You will prepare, maintain, and lead the execution of local quality and safety roadmaps, with clear priorities, assigned owners, milestones, performance measures, and documented tracking.
You will identify applicable QHSE requirements — national, international, client, and corporate — and maintain oversight of compliance obligations, ensuring relevant controls are embedded into operational procedures.
You will verify that implemented processes comply with applicable standards, specifications, and procedures, including API Q2 requirements when required by the scope.
You will establish and maintain effective document and record control: ensuring QHSE procedures, work instructions, forms, and evidence are up to date, approved, accessible, and retained according to requirements.
You will draft and update local QHSE procedures whenever additional controls are needed, aligning with group requirements and securing appropriate approval before implementation.
You will plan, coordinate, and conduct risk-based internal quality audits, Gemba-style safety walks, environmental inspections, and health management activities, documenting findings and ensuring timely closure.
You will support the Base Manager in establishing and executing the audit schedule, including preparation, evidence coordination, response management, and follow-up on corrective actions.
You will manage non-conformities, incidents, observations, audit findings, and client feedback with proportionate investigation, root cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions, and verification of their effectiveness.
You will promote prompt reporting of incidents, near misses, unsafe conditions, and quality events, ensuring lessons learned and relevant preventive actions are communicated and embedded.
You will define, monitor, and report QHSE performance indicators and process outputs; analyze trends, identify emerging risks, and formulate clear recommendations for local management and the functional QHSE lead.
You will provide regular, transparent feedback to the functional QHSE lead regarding process performance, internal and external issues, significant risks, improvement opportunities, and best practices.
You will prepare and maintain the local QHSE training matrix, identify competency requirements, coordinate mandatory training delivery, and verify completion and effectiveness.
You will deliver onboarding, awareness, and job-specific training for employees, contractors, and other relevant personnel, maintaining proper competency and attendance records.
You will exercise stop work authority and support operational teams in correcting conditions that pose an unacceptable risk to safety, quality, health, or the environment.
You will coordinate QHSE communication and engagement — toolbox talks content, safety alerts, lessons learned, campaigns, and worker consultation — to reinforce prevention and team ownership.
You will support client visits and QHSE information requests with accurate evidence, professional communication, and timely follow-up, ensuring commitments are tracked to closure.
You will foster a culture of integrity, prevention, learning, and continuous improvement, challenging non-compliance and recognizing effective QHSE practices.
The role requires QHSE competence in an industrial or operational setting — specific training or equivalent professional experience — and proven experience implementing and improving QHSE management systems.
Experience in auditing, inspections, root cause analysis, and KPI management is essential, as is the ability to develop and deliver training. Familiarity with API Q2 is an asset where applicable to the service scope.
