What you will do
Your work focuses on reporting and monitoring local content for the project in Afungi. Your main responsibilities are:
- Produce quarterly and annual local content reports and keep project key performance indicators (KPIs) updated.
- Monitor contractors' local content performance, accelerate the delivery of their reports, and integrate data into overall project reporting.
- Support, upon request and together with the capacity building lead and contractual strategy lead, the development, updating, and monitoring of the local content plan — with benchmarks and market intelligence across the three program areas: employment and training, procurement of goods and services, and capacity building.
- Coordinate with relevant parties the execution and communication of initiatives, such as industrial baseline studies, business studies, and delegations.
- Prepare project-level local content reporting and support the local content team — and other teams when necessary — with market intelligence, liaising with discipline leads and key contractors to collect and share information.
- Apply HSE best practices in the workplace: report incidents and unsafe conditions, implement mitigation actions whenever possible, and stop unsafe work when the situation requires.
The position is based in Afungi and includes travel to and contact with the operational site.
Role context
The development of national content meets the expectations of local authorities and communities and supports the project's social license to operate. The proper cascading of local content obligations down the supply chain is the foundation for efficient plan execution.
