About the company

CONTACT is an energy company with oil and gas operations in Mozambique. In Afungi, Cabo Delgado, it is developing a socio-economic development (SED) program and a land access program, linked to a large-scale resettlement plan.

This plan covers agricultural, fisheries, and diversified livelihood activities for the affected communities. It is within this context that this role is framed.

What you will do

You will lead the resettlement livelihoods team and hold implementation partners (IP) accountable for the programs committed in the plan. Your tasks include:

• Coordinate and supervise the work of all implementation partners responsible for resettlement plan activities;
• Support recruitment, onboarding, training, capacity building, and mentoring of team members;
• Prepare new scope of work (SOW) documents and update existing ones for contracting partners for livelihood programs;
• Manage the overall execution of livelihood restoration programs: assess and classify household progress, documenting the rationale for any change in classification;
• Develop the implementation schedule and budget, track implementation, and manage partners delivering agricultural, fisheries, and livelihood programs;
• Support performance reviews and internal and external audits of resettlement livelihood programs;
• Act as a focal point between partners, the project, government authorities, affected households, and the broader community.

The position reports to the Land Access Program Manager and the Socio-Economic Development Vice President. 1 position available.

The work is on-site, based in Afungi. You will work in a multidisciplinary environment, coordinating with the Land Access and Socio-Economic Development leadership.
