The essentials: TPF – Consultores de Engenharia e Arquitectura is looking for a Resident Engineer to coordinate the supervision team for the expansion of a road infrastructure project in Mozambique. Full-time role, starting in November 2026; applications open until October 20, 2026, through TPF's official application form (reference 2026/62).
TPF – Consultores de Engenharia e Arquitectura, S.A. is a Portuguese engineering and architecture consultancy group headquartered in Lisbon. The group has branch offices in Angola and Mozambique (TPF Angola and TPF Mozambique) and operates engineering projects across various markets.
The position is tied to the construction supervision of a road infrastructure expansion project in Mozambique — roads, equipment, and associated buildings. The Resident Engineer is responsible for the overall on-site performance: ensuring that deadlines, budget, and quality requirements are met while maintaining direct contact with the client, the contractor, and government entities.
A senior engineer with the maturity to lead a multidisciplinary and multinational team on-site. You will manage schedule, budget, and quality simultaneously, acting as the technical and contractual interface between the client, contractor, and the TPF team.
This role is designed for professionals accustomed to high-value projects, who take direct ownership of results and want to make an impact on delivering a major road construction project. TPF values diversity: selection guarantees equal opportunity without discrimination based on gender, race, religion, or any other criterion.
In construction supervision, the resident engineer acts as the independent guarantor that works are executed in accordance with the contract and approved designs: monitoring contractor performance on-site and certifying that timelines, quality, and costs remain within agreed bounds.
This role requires expatriation to Africa: the supervision team is based on-site in Mozambique, supported by group logistics for in-country setup. Foreign candidates must hold a valid Residence Permit in Mozambique.
Submit your application through TPF's official form under reference 2026/62 — Resident Engineer (Road Project) by October 20, 2026. The application link is: tpf.pt/candidatura.php?vaga=628 — the employer's official application form.
Before submitting, ensure you meet the mandatory requirement: proven experience in supervision or project direction roles in Sub-Saharan Africa, preferably in road projects (minimum 3 years). Prepare your CV and references, and fill out the TPF form with the correct reference code.
Selection is conducted directly by TPF. On Inademy, your profile is free, and you can receive new job alerts via email and WhatsApp.
