In this industrial project, the Rigger / Slinger role holds significant importance in the day-to-day work at the construction site. This professional acts as the direct point of contact between the crane and the loads that need to be moved within the site.

Your daily actions ensure that every maneuver occurs with total protection for workers and facilities. Without proper preparation and signaling, material lifting can lead to serious incidents during operations.

Your role and responsibilities

Your tasks at the construction site require continuous attention and strict compliance with established work plans. During your shift, you will take on the following responsibilities:

• Cargo handling: perform practical rigging and slinging tasks to load, unload, and move materials across various areas of the site.
• Accessory selection: select and thoroughly inspect appropriate lifting accessories for each operation, including slings, clamps, hooks, and spreader beams.
• Equipment attachment: safely attach and detach loads to cranes and other lifting equipment on site.
• Communication and signaling: give clear signals and maintain continuous communication with crane operators throughout the entire lifting maneuver.
• Warehouse logistics support: support tasks related to receiving, moving, stacking, and delivering materials in warehouse and laydown areas.
• Material stability: ensure loads remain securely fastened, properly balanced, and fully controlled throughout their movement.
• Pre-use inspection: conduct prior inspection of all rigging equipment and immediately report any items showing damage or defects.
• Compliance with instructions: strictly follow approved lifting plans, internal procedures, and all orders from the lifting supervisor.
• Area organization: keep the work area clean and tidy at all times to prevent accidents during handling operations.
• HSE standards: strictly comply with the project's health, safety, and environment requirements, as well as site rules.
