TechnipFMC is one of the global references in the energy industry, delivering subsea and surface projects to operators and industrial companies. The company has more than 21,000 people worldwide, with a head office in Maputo for the Mozambican market.
In Mozambique, the company takes part in major energy projects, including the Mozambique LNG project. In Pemba, TechnipFMC operates a construction yard and a quay that support offshore operations: that is where equipment and materials are assembled, prepared, and moved out to sea. The rigger is one of the key functions in that flow.
Rigging is the safe movement of loads: preparing, securing, and positioning each piece of equipment with the yard's cranes and winches, in coordination with the operations team. At the Pemba yard, the rigger is responsible for all rigging activity at the yard and the quay side. Every load that moves through that space depends on rigging that is done correctly, safely, and within the company's standards.
A rigger with certified training in rigging and lifting operations, and at least 3 years of hands-on experience. This is a role where safety and precision come first: you will handle loads, lifting gear, and equipment in a yard that is always active.
What sustains this role is attention to the condition of each piece of equipment, discipline in using personal protective equipment, and clear communication with the yard team. If you are used to working in the field, in an environment where the pace is set by mobilization campaigns, this is where you fit.
As a Rigger, you will:
