Key details: The Ministry of Transport and Logistics (MTL), through the Project Portfolio Coordination Unit (UCP), is looking for a Road Safety Officer in Maputo for a 24-month individual consultancy contract on the TRACER SOP2 project. Submit your application by email by September 30, 2026.
The Ministry of Transport and Logistics (MTL), through the Project Portfolio Coordination Unit (UCP), is implementing the Transport Corridor for Economic Resilience project (TRACER SOP2), financed by the World Bank.
This position is for an individual consultant with an expected contract duration of 24 months, including an initial 3-month probationary period. The contract may be renewed provided that performance is satisfactory and there is a need in the work scheduling.
In this position, you will be based in Maputo and act as the main focal point for road safety issues on the ground. You will report directly to the Project Coordinator and support the Project Implementation Unit (PIU) Coordinator in management, contractual compliance, and technical monitoring.
As a Road Safety Officer, your daily tasks on the project involve technical supervision and direct monitoring of on-road activities. Responsibilities include:
