The contract is for 3 years, full-time, and applications are open until November 8, 2026, through jobX24's job board. If you have 8 or more years administering complex networks and protecting perimeters against threats, this is the job for you.

About jobX24

You will work for jobX24, a technology and services company specializing in cybersecurity, based in Maputo. The company supports clients in defending networks and information systems against attacks, maintaining stable operations, and raising the level of protection across the entire network security lifecycle.

It combines consulting and modeling services with managed security operations, with teams dedicated to clients across various sectors in Mozambique. It is in this context that this position fits: strengthening the technical capacity of a team managing critical networks.

Who we are looking for

We are looking for a senior professional with strong expertise in network security administration within corporate environments. You have direct experience with firewalls, networking, network security management systems, and cybersecurity operations, and can work independently alongside clients.

You are comfortable communicating with technical and non-technical audiences and approach each project with the rigor of someone who knows security failures are non-negotiable. You will serve as a technical reference within the team.

What you will do day-to-day

You will combine network security design, implementation, and operations on a daily basis. Main responsibilities:

Design secure network architectures aligned with best practices and industry standards;
Plan and implement network and security products, including firewalls, secure access solutions, endpoint protection, and security management systems;
Conduct cybersecurity operations: monitoring, incident response, vulnerability management, and real-world penetration testing;
Stay up to date with technological developments and emerging threats, applying this expertise to the clients you support;
Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including proof-of-concept demonstrations and technical presentations for clients;
Support clients in service management, from corrective maintenance to continuous improvement;
Report security status to clients and the team, providing clear recommendations for improvement.

What we offer

Beyond the work itself, this position brings clear advantages for your career:

3-year full-time contract based in Maputo;
Remuneration to be agreed with the company (undisclosed), with an additional book allowance;
Remote work when operational conditions permit, with occasional travel for client meetings, on-site implementations, and training sessions;
Direct contact with cutting-edge cybersecurity technologies and real client network projects;
Training and knowledge transfer within client and internal team contexts;
Technical growth in a senior reference role within cybersecurity.
