About the company
DOM Consultores is conducting this selection process on behalf of a client in Maputo — the client's name has not been disclosed. The intern joins the team in Maputo and gets hands-on experience across the entire cycle, from identifying commercial opportunities and tenders to preparing and submitting proposals.
What you will do
From day one, your work has a direct impact on the team's processes. These are your day-to-day tasks:
- Tender monitoring — monitor portals, platforms, and press daily searching for tenders, requests for quotation (RFQs), and expressions of interest; maintain an updated tracker with opportunities, deadlines, and application status.
- Technical document review — analyze announcements, tender documents, and terms of reference to understand what each process requires before preparing the proposal.
- Cost estimation — conduct quantity take-offs, assist in preparing bills of quantities, and build civil construction and public works cost estimates.
- Market quotations — request and compare prices for materials, equipment, and subcontracts; turn these comparisons into technical and financial proposals.
- On-time delivery — organize administrative documentation for each tender, prepare the proposal, and submit everything within deadline; follow up on the outcomes of submitted processes.
- Filing — maintain proposals, tenders, and cost estimates stored in physical and digital formats, organized and ready to reference.
- Technical site visits — conduct site visits to construction projects in Maputo, in coordination with Management and the technical team.

If you are curious about projects, pricing, and procurement processes, and tight deadlines don't scare you, you have the right profile to start gaining real-world experience in civil construction and public and private procurement.
Full criteria — mandatory, preferred, and desirable — are in the requirements section. Read them before applying.
