The position does not involve direct supervision of staff: you will receive guidelines and project procedures and, when required, mentor lower-level staff. You report directly to the EpiC Laboratory Specialist.

Expected travel is 10 to 25% of the time — domestic travel within Mozambique, with limited regional travel as needed.
You will work on problems of moderate to complex scope: using sound judgment to select methods and techniques. You identify emerging issues, communicate findings to senior technical staff, and build relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
You will use a laptop, mobile phone, and standard office tools (Microsoft Office 365, SharePoint, and Zoom/Teams).
The job posting does not list specific numerical values for compensation: to be negotiated with the company. The official vacancy page only indicates the internal designation "Compensation Band: K", without values.
You can submit your application on the FHI 360 careers portal (Workday), on the vacancy page Technical Officer — Laboratory Systems (Requisition 2026201352). Applications close on October 7, 2026: if you wish to apply, submit your application before that date.
