Montepuez Ruby Mining, Lda. (MRM) operates one of the most important ruby deposits discovered in the world in recent years, in northern Mozambique. MRM is 75% owned and operated by Gemfields, one of the world's leading coloured gemstone mining companies, and 25% by Mwinti, a Mozambican company.

Who we are looking for

MRM is recruiting a dedicated and experienced warehouse supervisor with real field experience: someone who knows how to lead the warehouse operations team, keep stock records accurate and ensure safety protocols are followed in every shift, without exception, while meeting the established quality standards and deadlines.

The work takes place at the mine in Montepuez: you will live locally at your own expense; the company hires only for the role. You will work under pressure, assign daily tasks to the right people and resolve issues with dispatch and receipt as they arise, without delaying operations.

Day-to-day responsibilities

• Supervise the receiving, storage and dispatch processes to keep all operations accurate, efficient and on time;
• Monitor warehouse stock levels and productivity, run regular audits and ensure accurate records of all transactions, on paper and in the database;
• Address queries about dispatch and receipt, promptly resolve operational issues in the warehouse and keep customers satisfied;
• Train, mentor and evaluate the team, ensuring high performance and productivity;
• Assign daily tasks and workloads, balancing the team and the priority of each task;
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols, especially during the operation of load-moving machines and other heavy equipment, promoting a safe working environment for the whole team;
• Keep accurate records on paper and in the database, and keep the inventory precise;
• Identify and implement process improvements in warehouse operations.
