CFAO Mobility is the official distributor of Toyota, Hino, and Suzuki brands in Mozambique. The position is part of its after-sales operation at the Maputo workshop, within a structured, demanding, and results-oriented environment, where every vehicle leaving the technical bay must be delivered ready and safe to the client.

The workshop is the customer's point of contact after purchase: it receives vehicles for maintenance and repair, manages parts inventory, monitors the quality of work performed, and supports the client from quotation to handover. This is where the technical team's work is measured — in timeliness, quality, and the trust returned to those who bring in their vehicle.

Who we are looking for

We are looking for someone with real automotive workshop experience and a talent for coordinating technical teams. It is a hands-on leadership role: you will distribute work throughout the day, monitor the performance of each technician, and ensure that quality standards and deadlines are met.

You will need to troubleshoot difficult technical issues and keep the team organized and safe. Strong procedural organization, good communication with clients and the service reception team, and familiarity with performing primary diagnostics on complex repairs are expected. Anyone who has coordinated a team of workshop technicians and understands the routine of parts, quotes, and handovers is a great fit.

Day-to-day responsibilities

• Lead the team of technicians and the Team Leader, distributing work equitably and ensuring compliance with workshop rules and procedures.
• Monitor the individual performance of technicians, provide regular feedback, and immediately address deviations in quality, productivity, or behavior.
• Guide technicians and share technical knowledge, identifying training needs and communicating them to the Workshop Manager.
• Receive vehicles, assess required work, and assign tasks based on the technician skills matrix and defined priorities.
• Track work progress and adjust distribution whenever necessary, informing the Team Leader about delivery deadlines for each vehicle.
• Finalize reservations and orders for out-of-stock parts, track order status, and identify vehicles held up waiting for parts.
• Supervise the execution of repairs and ensure quality control prior to vehicle delivery.
• Provide initial technical troubleshooting in the workshop, supporting technicians with complex diagnostics.
• Prepare repair estimates, ensure their timely approval, and promptly notify the client and reception team of any additional services or parts required.
• Apply and enforce occupational health and safety standards as well as environmental protection, maintaining the 5S methodology.
• Prepare daily and progress reports, and submit the list of completed vehicles to the service reception team and the Workshop Manager.
