Public Competition No. 02/2026: the Bank of Mozambique is recruiting 24 professionals for its headquarters staff in the city of Maputo. Applications are open from 1 to 15 September 2026 on the Bank's official recruitment portal.
The Bank is the monetary authority of the Republic of Mozambique: it preserves the value of the national currency, defines and executes monetary policy, supervises banking activity, and manages payment systems serving the entire country — from the Metical to the new instant payment system. It is a technical and rigorous environment with a direct impact on the country's economic life.
Among the positions open for recruitment is that of Legal Advisory Specialist (M/F), with 2 vacancies. The role provides legal advice to the Bank's governing bodies — from the Governor to the Board of Directors — and to the various organizational units. On a daily basis, the successful candidate will:

The competition consists of 3 stages, all eliminatory and independent of each other:
If there is a high volume of applications, the top-ranked candidates from the document review will proceed to the knowledge test, up to a maximum of 30 candidates per vacancy. Only those who achieve 10 marks or more in the test will progress to the interview — up to 5 finalists per vacancy.
The knowledge tests for each role will take place simultaneously at locations specified by the Bank. If you qualify and your interview is scheduled in a province other than your own, travel expenses will be covered by the Bank.

The Bank itself warns on its official portal that scam attempts should be reported to the relevant authorities — no one connected to this competition will ask you for money. Anyone providing false statements will be disqualified — automatic exclusion.
