FNB Moçambique, part of the FirstRand group, is recruiting a Branch Assistant Manager for Pemba, the capital of Cabo Delgado province. As the unit's number two, you will support the Branch Manager in daily management and ensure the branch meets targets, processes, and regulations — including on days when the Manager has other commitments.

The work revolves around three fronts that intersect every day. On the commercial front, it is about growing the client portfolio and reaching the branch's sales targets. On the operational front, everything must align: cash desk, treasury, transactions executed on schedule,

and regulatory standards respected. On the team front, it is up to you to help guide and develop those working with you. Anyone who enjoys banking knows this triangle — and knows it is where a branch gains or loses customer trust.

Your day-to-day

• Support the execution of the unit's commercial strategy: acquire new clients, retain current ones, and build loyalty among those who already trust the bank.
• Closely monitor sales targets for banking products and services, measuring the team's progress.
• Identify opportunities and refer clients to specialized departments when cases go beyond the branch scope.
• Monitor commercial indicators and propose corrective actions when the numbers call for a response.
• Ensure that every branch transaction is completed accurately and within the equipaframe promised to waiting customers.
• Oversee treasury and cash management, including daily opening and closing of operations.
• Ensure compliance with customer identification rules, anti-money laundering regulations, and all other regulatory standards.
• Prepare the unit for internal and external audits and follow up on the resolution of identified findings.
• Guide the branch team: performance follow-up sessions, identifying training needs, and managing annual leave and attendance.
