The essentials: Associação Salve Bio Moz (ASBIM) is opening three Field Coordinator vacancies for the RENASCER Project in Cabo Delgado, with the application deadline on October 30, 2026.
Applications are submitted via email to recrutamento@asbim.org.mz. Each position is assigned to a district — Ancuabe, Quissanga, or Mocímboa da Praia — and the professional will be based in the district they apply for.
The RENASCER Project operates in the province of Cabo Delgado, focusing on food security and livelihoods, health, nutrition, WASH, and protection, within a context of recovery and response for displaced and host populations.
The Field Coordinator is the operational face of the project in the district: they ensure on the ground that plans are met, teams function, and communities receive assistance in a dignified and impartial manner.
You coordinate the daily implementation of project activities in your district and prepare weekly and monthly work plans in conjunction with the management team. You verify that activities run within approved deadlines and objectives, and you identify operational constraints to propose solutions that maintain activity continuity.
You supervise field teams and community mobilizers, distribute tasks, monitor performance, and hold regular coordination meetings. You support team capacity building and promote compliance with operational procedures, safety standards, and the organization's code of conduct.
You facilitate community mobilization and participation, working with community leaders, local authorities, and community committees. You help identify the priority needs of vulnerable families, including internally displaced persons, returnee families, and host communities, and you promote the inclusion of women, youth, and persons with disabilities.
You monitor data collection and the drafting of weekly and monthly reports covering activities carried out, beneficiaries reached, constraints, and recommendations. You liaise with district authorities and health, agriculture, and social action services, and you manage project resources, logistics, and requisitions in accordance with internal procedures.
You apply safeguard and protection policies, preventing situations of exploitation, abuse, harassment, discrimination, and fraud, and you ensure that beneficiaries are aware of available feedback and complaint channels.
ASBIM is looking for someone with a Bachelor's degree in Rural Development, Agronomy, Public Health, Nutrition, Social Sciences, Project Management, Public Administration, or a related field, and experience in coordination, supervision, or implementation of community, humanitarian, or development projects. We value experience with vulnerable communities in emergency or post-crisis recovery contexts, and proficiency in data collection tools such as KoboToolbox.
Availability to work regularly in communities and to travel within the assigned district is a requirement. Fluency in written and spoken Portuguese is mandatory; knowledge of the local languages of the district is an advantage.
Send your application by email to recrutamento@asbim.org.mz, with the subject line «Application – Field Coordinator – [Indicate Ancuabe, Quissanga, or Mocímboa da Praia]».
