About ACF in Mozambique

Action contre la Faim has been registered in Mozambique since 2021, providing humanitarian assistance to populations affected by armed conflict and extreme weather events, with a concentrated presence in Cabo Delgado and, in Gaza, responding to floods.

The coordination office is located in Pemba. The current team comprises 7 international and 116 national staff members, managing operations valued at approximately 6 million euros. The work combines immediate relief with building community resilience and long-term development, in coordination with authorities and civil society.

The Mueda base has stable funding and may see project renewals in the coming months. It is within this context that projects linking relief, development, and peace — an approach the organization refers to as the nexus — are implemented.

What you will do

The role is divided into three main areas: field program coordination, field team management, and external representation. You will report directly to the Area Coordinator based in Pemba.

• Coordinate the execution of ACF's national strategy at the Northern base.
• Ensure the overall implementation of field programs.
• Lead and support the field team on a daily basis.
• Maintain functional relationships with Area and Coordination teams.
• Represent ACF before regional authorities, the UN system, and other NGOs at the field and regional levels.
• Prepare reports and ensure effective communication.
• Manage operational security in the field, with methodical and rigorous communications.

Conditions offered

The contract duration is 12 months. Conditions vary depending on the contractual framework:

• National staff — 12-month contract under ACF's internal salary scale in Mozambique; amounts not specified.
• International staff — 12-month contract under French law, with a gross monthly salary between 2,597 and 2,968 euros, commensurate with experience, 13th month included.
• 6% annual salary review after every 12 continuous months of contract.
• For international staff: monthly subsistence allowance and daily per diem totaling 839 net euros, paid in the field.
• Monthly country allowance of 450 euros.
• Child allowance of 1,500 euros per year per child remaining in the home country, capped at 6,000 euros per year.
• Transportation and guesthouse accommodation covered by the organization.
• 100% health insurance and repatriation coverage, maintained up to 1 month after contract end.
• 25 days of paid annual leave and 20 R&R days, with airfare reimbursed up to a limit and 215 euros per R&R period.
• Training and professional development support, with unlimited access to the Talentsoft e-learning platform.
