What you will do
You will report directly to the COO and represent the HSSE area in weekly executive meetings. Your daily responsibilities include:
- Ensure compliance with terminal safety guidelines and support the HSSE team with risk assessments, controls, and writing standard operating procedures;
- Train key process owners on detailed safety procedures and coordinate the training schedule with designated Champions and HSE Officers;
- Participate in incident investigations classified above risk level 3 using the ICAM methodology, and recommend disciplinary action when procedures are disregarded;
- Keep all HSSE functions aligned with Mozambican legislation and DP World global policies, updating them whenever either changes;
- Design the department budget and manage its financial, administrative, and personnel activities;
- Ensure that team equipment and labor are used economically, efficiently, and productively;
- Define performance testing standards and best practices for the team, motivating colleagues and recognizing their achievements;
- Present department activities and key indicators at weekly review meetings with the COO and General Manager.
