Movitel, S.A. is a telecommunications operator with a nationwide presence and an active branch in Nampula, serving individuals, businesses and institutions across the northern region. To reinforce its local human resources team, the company is looking for a Human Resources Specialist to work at the Nampula Branch, located at Av. do Trabalho no. 45, in the city of Nampula.
In an operation with many employees, HR is the department that keeps everything in order: who joins, how they are onboarded, how rules apply and how salaries reach everyone on equipa. This role rests on that responsibility — and this is where your work stands out every month, when payroll runs seamlessly.
Your work covers five main areas:
There is also one requirement that cuts across everything else: deadlines. Payroll does not wait. If data leaves Nampula late, headquarters is delayed and employees feel the impact. Whoever takes on this role must take that equipaliness as a personal commitment.
Some people treat human resources as paperwork. Not here: behind every procedure is a person — the joining colleague, the one expecting their salary at month end, the person needing a correct answer at a sensitive moment. If you take pride in doing a thorough job on things no one sees, you will quickly understand what this team does.
The pace follows the company calendar: there are quiet weeks and others where hiring, payroll deadlines and unresolved situations arrive all at once. What remains constant is the methodology — every case recorded, every response given on equipa, every employee treated fairly.
Working for a national operator exposes you to every stage of people management: recruitment, discipline, payroll and legal compliance. Mastering the processing of foreign worker permits, for example, is a rare skill highly valued in any organisation with international operations. In two years in this post, your CV will feature accomplishments few HR specialists can claim.

Send two documents — your cover letter and Curriculum Vitae — by email to recrutamento@movitel.co.mz, specifying the job title in your message: Especialista em Recursos Humanos. A concise cover letter, without generalities, detailing your HR background in three or four lines, is worth more than many pages.
The closing date specified in the listing is 18 September 2026 — prepare your application early and submit before the deadline.
Get both documents ready before sending: the guide to building a strong CV in Mozambique helps you organise your CV, and this other guide on cover letters shows you how to write an introduction that grabs the reader's attention.
Please note the warning included by the company itself: Movitel does not accept money, gifts or any other benefits during recruitment. If anyone asks you for anything on behalf of the company, report it and do not give in.
Both documents must be sent by email to the address specified on the vacancy page, indicating the role you are applying for. Movitel itself conducts the selection process and decides who advances.
