This is a single vacancy, involving regular travel between Ancuabe, Quissanga, and Mocímboa da Praia.
In the RENASCER Project, monitoring and evaluation serve to measure whether food security, health, nutrition, WASH, and protection activities are producing results, and to adjust the strategy based on evidence. The M&E Officer collects, verifies, organizes, and analyzes data, transforming it into useful information for the team and the communities.
You support the development and implementation of the project's Monitoring and Evaluation Plan, develop and update indicator matrices, data collection plans, and monitoring tools. You track the execution of activities against plans, targets, and expected results, and conduct regular monitoring visits to communities and implementation sites.
You collect and consolidate data from field teams, partners, beneficiaries, and other sources, and verify their consistency, accuracy, and reliability. You keep databases updated and organized, working with tools such as KoboToolbox/KoboCollect and Microsoft Excel. When you identify a deviation from a target, you propose corrective measures.
You analyze data and prepare periodic reports, performance analyses, technical notes, and visualizations. You document good practices, stories of change, and lessons learned, and present practical recommendations to improve the quality of interventions. You also support community feedback and complaint mechanisms and the inclusive participation of women, men, youth, and people with disabilities.
The announcement specifies a Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Monitoring and Evaluation, Information Management, Economics, Community Development, Social Sciences, Public Health, Project Management, or a related field, and relevant experience in project monitoring, data management, evaluation, applied research, or report writing.
Fluency in Microsoft Excel, the ability to organize and analyze data, and autonomy in producing clear, objective, and evidence-based reports complete the profile.
Experience in humanitarian, recovery, or community development projects, and in national or international non-governmental organizations; knowledge of KoboToolbox, Power BI, SPSS, or Stata; and experience in Cabo Delgado province with knowledge of the local sociocultural context are considered advantages.
Send your application by email to recrutamento@asbim.org.mz, with the subject line "Application – Monitoring and Evaluation Officer – RENASCER Project".

Evaluation is based on merit, qualifications, experience, and suitability for the role's responsibilities. ASBIM promotes equal opportunities and encourages applications from women, people with disabilities, and candidates from underrepresented groups who meet the requirements.
