The essentials: position of Pharmacy and Supply Chain Advisor — Military Health (code ATF) at Fundação Ariel Glaser, based in Maputo. Applications open until October 22, 2026, through the job portal with the code ATF in the subject line, or hand-delivered to one of the Foundation's three offices (Maputo, Matola, or Pemba).
Fundação Ariel Glaser works in close partnership with the Ministry of Health (MISAU), the National Directorate of Military Health (DNSM), under the Ministry of National Defense, and the Military Health Department of the General Staff of the FADM (DSM-EMG/FADM), with international funding from DHAPP/DoD.
The program provides specialized technical advisory services, in-service capacity building, and operational support across the Defense sector health facility network — hospitals, health centers, military medical posts, and training centers — serving military personnel, dependents, and surrounding communities.
It is a temporary mechanism with a planned exit strategy from the start: as external assistance phases out, permanent Military Health structures assume clinical and pharmaceutical-logistics governance.
You will lead the design and adaptation to the military context of forecasting, requisitioning, storage, dispensing, and pharmacovigilance processes for antiretrovirals (ARVs), preventive regimens (TPT, 3HP, PrEP), and Advanced HIV Disease (AHD) commodities across military health facilities.
You will also act as a civil-military interoperability agent, ensuring that collaboration between MISAU/CMAM and Military Health functions seamlessly across all logistical levels.
Leading the logistics transition and local technical ownership, you will ensure that quantification, stock management, and good pharmaceutical practices are embedded into the permanent routines of military health facilities and the organic command and quartermaster structures of the Defense sector — maintaining pharmaceutical security without reliance on external technical assistance.
Based in Maputo, with frequent travel — 40 to 50% of the time — to military units and depots, including restricted access areas. Remuneration is not disclosed in the announcement and will be agreed upon with the Foundation. This position is subject to national quota.
