Bettercare is a Mozambican company that manages medical and pharmaceutical assistance funds for companies and their employees: it accredits hospitals, clinics, and specialists in a national and international network, coordinates medical evacuations with its own team available 24 hours a day, and monitors prevention and chronic disease programs. The quality of all this rests on a provider network that is well-chosen, well-negotiated, and always updated — that is where procurement and partnership make a difference in the lives of those who need care.
To support behind the scenes of this operation, the company is now looking for a Procurement Assistant for an internship, based in Maputo. The position is open to those starting out in their career: a long CV is not what decides here — what matters is the way you work. You will get to know from the inside the less visible side of healthcare in Mozambique — the chain of providers and suppliers that supports every appointment booked and every medication dispensed.
Your job is to transform scattered information into well-supported decisions. Every recorded contact, every compared proposal, and every updated database directly feeds the quality of the network that Bettercare members use when they need it most.
You enjoy working with information: finding, checking, organizing, and presenting. You are not satisfied with the first answer — you go straight to the source and confirm. You write clearly and speak directly, because in a procurement role poor communication costs time and money. You pay attention to details without losing sight of the big picture, and you feel satisfaction when a process is complete, documented, and easy to consult. If something seems off in a proposal, you ask questions before making assumptions — that is how an organization is protected.
Being an internship position means the door is open to those who are starting out. Bringing curiosity about the healthcare sector and a willingness to learn within a real operation counts for a lot. If this is your first job, this could be the place where you see from the inside how a healthcare company takes care of its provider network.
Regarding remuneration: the official posting did not make any amount public, so we don't invent numbers here — that detail is left for your conversation with the company. What the source confirms is the internship scheme, the number of vacancies (one), and the workplace location (Maputo).
Registration takes just a few minutes and is completely free: your CV is saved in one place, and email or WhatsApp alerts reach you whenever new job openings come up in your field. On this page, you will already find the right application channel, the subject line to use, and the deadline — all gathered in one place, without you having to hunt for scattered information.
An important warning: applying is completely free. If anyone demands payment, a fee, or your bank account details under the pretext of this or any other vacancy, it is a scam — do not pay, cut off contact, and report it.
Combine two documents in Portuguese — an updated CV and a Cover Letter — and send them by email to recrutamento@bettercare.co.mz, the official channel indicated in the job posting for applications. In the subject line write exactly: “Estágio – Assistente de Procurement”. The correct subject line helps the team route your email without delay.
After your email is sent, the process continues directly with the Bettercare team, who receive applications and handle the subsequent stages. It is up to Inademy to ensure you reach the right channel with clear information — nothing more than that. If you would like to receive other opportunities in this field, keep your profile active with notifications turned on.
The job posting particularly values initiative and the willingness to learn procurement in practice. Bettercare is looking for someone responsible with a strong sense of commitment, who works well in a team and adapts quickly — attitude matters more than the extent of your background in this selection.
