Action Against Hunger (ACF) — a recognized humanitarian organization of public interest, founded in 1979 and active in over 50 countries — has opened four (4) positions for Qualitative Research Supervisor in Mozambique, based in Mueda, Niassa province. The work is part of the Nutrition Determinants Analysis study: the organization operates in the fields of nutrition, health, food security and livelihoods, water, sanitation and hygiene, and mental health —
and this role directly supports the research component of this fieldwork.
The contract type is daily-based, with a duration of 22 days, starting immediately. Application deadline: September 17, 2026.
We are looking for someone comfortable in the field: able to enter a community, build trust, and listen, without losing the rigor of a researcher. What matters most here is attitude — genuine curiosity about people, respect for communities, and the ability to remain objective in sensitive situations, always under the guidance of the Research Lead. Required technical and language skills are listed in the requirements section below.
You will practically apply qualitative research methods in public health and nutrition, work with survey methodologies such as SMART, NCA, and SQUEAC, and gain direct community work experience in Northern Mozambique. You will also work under ACF's research ethics principles: ethical approach to communities, commitment to do no harm in interactions, and personal data confidentiality.
Short deadlines, email-only applications, and a role in the northern region of the country: this type of opportunity moves fast, and missing an alert means missing out on the job.
