Sanlam Moçambique Vida, an insurer integrated within SanlamAllianz — the largest pan-African non-banking financial services group, present in 26 countries — is expanding its commercial network in Maputo and Matola. The portfolio ranges from life insurance to bancassurance (selling insurance via banks), to pension funds and asset management: products that support families and businesses for decades and require people who know how to explain them clearly.
The Sales Promoter role here is concrete: find new clients, look after existing ones, and bring company products to markets where it is not yet present. You report to the Client Manager, who reports to the Sales Manager — you have someone to turn to when a question arises and room to show your own results, with a permanent contract from day one.
It is target-driven work: the number of new clients and the health of the portfolio tell you where you stand every day. Those who enjoy selling and track their own progress will find honest ground to grow here, backed by the strength of a well-known brand to help open the first conversation.
Sanlam is looking for people who enjoy talking to others and do not get discouraged by an initial rejection. Selling insurance is, above all, explaining important things simply: to those looking to protect their family, or to business owners looking to protect their business.
If you have the patience to build relationships over time and the discipline to maintain activity on tough days, applying makes sense. Formal criteria — education level, minimum age, and documents — are in the requirements section.
Where Sanlam's advert does not provide answers, we state it clearly — and we do not guess. These are points to clarify directly with Sanlam, during the interview or by email:
None of these uncertainties stop you from sending your CV right away.
The advert does not indicate the next steps in the process or the response timeframe. And the deadline is short: a certified copy of your BI takes working days to obtain, so arrange it now — but do not wait for it before sending your CV.
Before sending, it is worth checking our guides: how to write a CV in Mozambique and cover letter for job applications in Mozambique — a well-crafted CV carries more weight than it seems in an initial screening. A cover letter is not required for this role; if you decide to write one, keep it short and direct.
Applications for this vacancy are made by email — not within Inademy. Here, you create your free profile, keep your CV organised in one place, and receive new job alerts by email and WhatsApp.
In the initial email, Sanlam requests your CV; sending a plain copy of your ID is our recommendation, not a company requirement. A certified copy of your ID and proof of residence are required by Sanlam, but the advert does not state at which stage — do not let this hold you back: submit your application and ask in the same email when and how to deliver them.
With no published rule from Sanlam, standard market practice is a residency certificate issued by the local authority of your neighbourhood or district; a recent utility bill in your name can serve as supporting proof. If in doubt, write to recrutamento@sanlam.co.mz before submitting your application.
There is no minimum experience required, nor academic preferences beyond Grade 12. Candidates with a background in sales, insurance or customer service will have an advantage in the selection process, but beginners are also welcome to apply — commercial attitude matters more than the CV.
