About the company

Home Center operates in the city of Maputo and is strengthening its finance department with this role.

What you will do

Your work covers the company's financial life end-to-end. Day-to-day, you track cash flows — inflows, outflows, and bank balances — and keep treasury forecasts updated.

You validate payments to suppliers, team members, and public entities, respecting each party's deadlines. In bank reconciliations, you compare statements and ledgers and trace every discrepancy until you find its origin.

You monitor collections and payments so that no obligation is overlooked. Before monthly and annual closing, you review entries and statements alongside the Accounting team. You analyze customer and supplier accounts and settle any pending items.

You participate in preparing the annual budget and monitor its execution, explaining variances from the plan. You create statements and reports for Management — providing reliable information in time to be useful for decision-making.

You support internal and external audits with the necessary documentation and propose measures to improve controls. You also mentor less experienced colleagues and ensure compliance with procedures by the team.
