What you will do

In this role, your work in the field and at headquarters involves the following tasks:

• Facilitate public consultations in the communities of Mapulene and Chiango, ensuring that community consultation runs in an organized and well-heard manner;
• Prepare and facilitate meetings and consultations with local communities, from initial preparation to recording what was agreed upon;
• Apply participatory methodologies and social impact assessment techniques in collecting and processing responses;
• Clearly document what the communities expressed, so that the project team makes decisions based on real social data;
• Travel regularly to the communities of Mapulene and Chiango, maintaining a field presence based from the headquarters in Maputo.

Who we are looking for

We are looking for a professional comfortable in the field, capable of organizing public consultations with multiple voices simultaneously. You will listen to the concerns of the local population on topics such as water access, land use, family relocation, or changes in daily routines.

Your mission is to transform these gathered voices into a clear and useful social record, enabling the technical team to make decisions based on what the community actually said. Day-to-day work requires active listening skills, community meetings, frequent travel, and thorough documentation of the work performed.
