The essential: Technical Director position for the FADM READY Program — Military Health (code DRT) at Fundação Ariel Glaser, based in Maputo. Deadline October 22, 2026. Submit your CV and cover letter in Portuguese through the job website, indicating code DRT in the subject line, or deliver in person at one of the Foundation's three offices (Maputo, Matola, or Pemba).
FADM READY is Fundação Ariel Glaser's military health program, operating in partnership with the Ministry of Health (MISAU), the National Directorate of Military Health (DNSM) under the Ministry of National Defense, and the Military Health Department of the General Staff of the FADM (DSM-EMG/FADM), with international funding from DHAPP/DoD.
The program provides specialized technical advisory, in-service training, and operational innovation across the Defense sector health facility network — hospitals, health centers, military medical posts, and training centers — benefiting military personnel, military dependents, and surrounding communities.
It is designed as a temporary acceleration, mentoring, quality, and skill transfer mechanism for the FADM — not a parallel system: the progressive ownership of clinical governance belongs to the permanent Military Health structures.
As Technical Director, you are primarily responsible for the technical coherence of FADM READY: you will lead the multidisciplinary technical team, harmonize service packages with MISAU guidelines and DHAPP/DoD requirements, and serve as a high-level technical liaison to Military Health, MISAU, and the donor.
The program covers the national territory: the position requires availability for frequent travel to military health facilities nationwide. Care continuity depends on civil-military interoperability between Military Health and MISAU, from central to provincial (DPS) and district (SDSMAS) levels.
This is a leadership role with a direct impact on the transition of military health services in Mozambique. Compensation is not published: terms will be agreed upon with the Foundation during the process.
By October 22, 2026, submit your application accompanied by CV and cover letter in Portuguese. Two options: via the job website, referencing code DRT in the subject line; or hand-delivered at the Foundation's offices — Head Office at Rua das Rosas, No. 105, Sommerschield II, Maputo; Matola at Rua da Missão, No. 315; Pemba at Rua da Base Moçambique, No. 640.
